Our bodies need regular hydration throughout the day. It is therefore advisable to drink 1 to 1.5 liters of water daily, up to 2 liters when it is hot or when you are exercising. Depending on your type of activity or your current condition, a specific water may be recommended.
I suffer from constipation
Constipation affects more than 20% of the French, two-thirds of whom are women. When constipated, many rush to the pharmacy to buy a laxative and get better as soon as possible. However, the problem generally lies deeper and, in particular, comes from a way of life for review.

To cure or prevent constipation, it’s important to eat plenty of high-fiber foods like vegetables, get some daily physical activity (30 minutes a day or 3 one-hour sessions a week) and… of course, drink. For constipation, medical professionals recommend mineral water rich in magnesium sulfate, known for its natural laxative properties. The Hépar brand water is the only one that has proven itself in this field.
I am pregnant/breastfeeding
Pregnant or breastfeeding, you no longer drink for yourself, but also for your baby! Calcium, magnesium or potassium are essential contributors to overcoming the deficiencies that you are more prone to during this time. It is therefore important to consume water that is as rich in magnesium and calcium as possible, namely Hépar. If you don’t like it, you can use the Contrex and Courmayeur brands, which have a more neutral taste.
I have digestive problems
If you have stomach problems, it is strongly recommended to choose sparkling water, which is much richer in sodium bicarbonate than still water (600 mg/l) and in particular will help you limit stomach acid. The waters with the most bicarbonate on the market are Vichy Célestins and Saint-Yorre. If you have flatulence, you can also choose a sparkling water with fine bubbles such as Badoit, Quézac or San Pellegrino.

Attention, it is not a question of drinking only sparkling water, to be preferred only with meals to facilitate digestion. Sparkling water does in fact contain carbon dioxide added to the bottling, a gas that is not necessarily good for our bodies in too large amounts. Don’t hesitate to alternate with clear, bicarbonate-rich waters like Vichy.
I’m stressed, tired
If you’re tired, stressed, or even irritable, pharmacists are more likely to prescribe either a vitamin C regimen or a magnesium regimen. Magnesium deficiency is the cause of temporary tiredness, cramps and/or muscle tension, but with the right water it can be remedied: choose magnesium-rich mineral water (more than 50 mg/l) to correct the problem. You can turn to the brands Courmayeur, Contrex and Hépar for still waters or Badoit, Quézac and Rozana for sparkling wines. A daily consumption of 6 glasses a day for 2 or 3 3 days should bring quick results and invigorate you.
