How do I wear corduroy?
In the large velvet family, one variant stands out: the ribbed ones. With its retro influences that seem straight out of our grandparents’ dressing room, corduroy is the favorite of fashionistas nostalgic for 70’s fashion.
In order to approach it without making a false note, we stop primarily at one piece. The one that is enough to wake up a (too) sober look and that makes us forget our beloved jeans for at least a day. And this must-have is none other than the corduroy pants.

We choose the color that suits us at the moment, from brown to purple to fuchsia and fir green. With a flat cut, we focus on wide legs and a very high waist. To do this, we pull out an oversized cream sweater and a pair of square-toe ankle boots.
Another candidate and last but not least: the cord mini skirt. We wear it with high white boots, a tight cardigan and a big plush coat. The more adventurous extend it a few inches to make it an equally desirable midi model.
And then the queens of the total look, who master the all-over like no other, will be able to be seduced by the corduroy worn from head to toe or almost. The ingredients for this formidable fashion recipe: a camel pantsuit (corduroy, of course), a small sheer blouse to slip under the blazer, and a pair of white trainers to soften the whole thing.
How to combine velvet?
On its own, velvet can form pretty duos with other textures, strong as it is. What materials with velvet? leather first. To implement this mix well, choose black velvet trousers and a matching leather jacket or, conversely, leather trousers and a velvet jacket.
Another pillar of the fashion world: denim. The good news is that it combines beautifully with velvet. We play the game of layering materials, with a t-shirt worn under an left open denim shirt, which in turn is worn under a loose smooth velvet blazer jacket. We complete the silhouette with black leather trousers.

For a slightly more daring interpretation, we bring out sequins and sequins. Perfect combination of winter evening looks, velvet and sequins complement each other. Where one invites comfort, the other shines with a thousand lights. The right mix? A sequined mini skirt combined with a velvet overshirt.
As comfortable by day as by night, velvet, with its warm texture and limitless fashion potential, is the new wardrobe ally you can count on.
